6 Years Old...getting very big and brave!

I have really changed this past month.  I am getting interested in and trying so many new things.  I am really nervous, but I am signed up to do soccer.
We visited Heather and Sean and Ashley and Ian and I really loved their cats.  I can't wait to get a cat and dog of my own.  When we were there, we visited a park and I climbed a little ways up a rock wall!  Later in the month, I climbed our tree in front and jumped in a ball pit at Emma's party.  I'm getting really brave!
I am also getting more creative with telling stories and making things.  I made a car out of an old cardboard box.  My Valentine's this year were Olaf and said "Valentine, I would melt without you" and had marshmallows, pretzel sticks, chocolate chips, and candy corn in a baggie.  I had a lot of fun making them. I love to see projects through until the end.
Mommy and I had a movie night and we watched Tangled.  It was a really nice time.  We were going to sleep in the bed together downstairs, but after we got all snuggled in, I changed my mind.  I just wanted my own bed.  We watched Frozen on another movie night.
We had a couple of meetings with the Girl Scouts.  I sold 77 boxes of Girl Scout cookies!  I spent a day off from school writing thank you notes to everyone who bought from me.
We had several days off from school this month.  On an early dismissal day, we went to the park because the weather was so nice.  I loved to run around outside with Mommy!  We also made my Olaf Valentine's box that day.  We made my Valentine's on another snow day.
One day when Mommy was busy, we forgot to put tennis shoes on me during PE.  It was the last day of volleyball and I had to sit out.  It was pretty boring, and Mommy felt really bad.  Daddy got to pick me up that day because Mommy was in Jefferson City doing curriculum writing.  It was nice to have Daddy pick me up!
I have really been reading a lot!  There are times when I can pick up a book and read every word in it!  I really love to read!  I have been doing MyOn reader and every time I have to give a review of a book, I give it 5 stars because I haven't found a book I didn't love!
I have been a really big helper too.  I helped Mommy when she got her car washed, and I love to help with Emily.  I have swept the floor even though I wasn't asked, and Daddy taught me how to mop!
I got sick a couple of times this month.  One night, I threw up a lot in bed.  It was the first time I have thrown up in 3 years.  Daddy said I did a great job handling it.  I had a yucky cold one day (sneezing, runny nose, then stuffed up), but made it through school.  I had 103.1 degree fever that night.  I stayed home the next day and was all better after that!
Funny things I have said: "Daddy, what was your last name before you got married?", "Can I play some more with Emily-she's so fun!" "It's hard work getting ready for a party!" When Mommy said, "If I give you a puppy, will you stay 5?", I just looked at her and said, "I'm not sure how I would do that!"
Other fun things this month-
  • I had a play date with Carrie
  • We had PJ day at school
  • I spent the night at Nana Arden's when Mommy and Daddy had a party at our house
  • 100th Day of School! (I made a 100's chart with marshmallows)
  • Game day at school-I brought my Frozen Trouble game
  • Played in the snow with Mommy (built a snowman, played tag, and threw snowballs)
  • Frozen party at the library (made a crown, made a marshmallow Olaf, threw bean bags into Sven's mouth, rolled dice to make a snowman, made a snow scene with water and Epsom salt, and found trolls!)
  • I was helper of the day at school
  • Miss Rachel brought Sophia the dog over to play and walk
  • Emma's birthday party at Elevate
  • Read to Sadie at the library again
  • Played soccer and tag outside with Mommy
  • Visited Nana Arden and Papa Rodney when Daddy was sick and played outside
  • KC Wolf from the Chiefs came to our school to talk to us about Attitude, Behavior, and Character
  • Valentine's Day party at school (exchanged Valentine's, popped balloons and found someone who had the same candy heart inside, had a race to ladle Hershey's kisses into a bowl)
  • Went to St. Louis for Ian's 4th birthday and played at a train store.  When the pinata broke, I stood back while the other kids dove for the candy.  Since I didn't get any candy, a grown-up gave me some.  I gave that candy to a little boy who also didn't get any.
Be ready to see all about my birthday next month!
