Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom came up to watch one of my soccer games. It was such a nice surprise to have them visit. We went out to eat at Cheddar's afterwards.
We have been going to Church more and I am starting to be able to pay attention better. It was hard to understand why it was important at first, but I am getting it now. I really like to pray and say what I am thankful for at night. My family always makes the list, but so does being thankful that God doesn't let bad people/burglars come into the house and hurt us.
We have had a couple of play dates too. One was on a Friday night at Carrie's house. We had so much fun being at a new place and being out later because it wasn't a school night! I got to spend some time with Nana Arden when we had an early out from school one day.
I was able to have a play date at Ella's house and Gabe was there! We had so much fun. We even went swimming in their lake! I really enjoyed being at her house and her parents said I am welcome back anytime! The next weekend was Ella's birthday party at a gymnastics place. That was a lot of fun too, once I got warmed up! Right after her birthday party was Cami's birthday party at the skating rink. I love being around my friends! It was really hard to skate, but I didn't cry and I didn't give up! The next night was Jonathan's birthday party. That was the weekend of cake and ice cream!
We had our last Leader in Me group. I have really enjoyed being in the group that Mommy runs with Ella and Gabe. School is just about out too! We only have two more weeks. That also means we only have two more weeks until we can really start thinking about getting a dog!
We had some more school events too. We had a Celebrate the Arts night and we got to see art work in the hallways. The pieces that I had up were not completely finished because I like to take a long time making things look just right! After that, there was a short concert and then the Talent Show. I really liked watching everyone perform. Another night, we had Camp Read-A-Lot. Daddy walked around with me because Mommy was doing The Winners Circle (like a cake walk, but with books.) I played that game a lot and went to Miss Schooler's tent and read her a book. I also did a word relay game. We also had Muffins with Moms one morning at school. It was nice to have mom be my parent instead of just the counselor!
At the Sock Hop, I had won a date to Bonkers with Miss Schooler. We got to do that this month too! It was so much fun! Three other kids and the other Kangaroo teachers went. Only the kids played, but I felt very special to spend that time with Miss Schooler!
Finally, we had another field trip! Our whole class went to the St. Louis Zoo! It was so much fun! Mommy was able to go and Rose and Kris were in my group. We had a really fun day.
Today, we left Daddy and Emily at home (Emily was sick) and went to Washington to celebrate Great-Grandma Rose's 85th birthday. It was a really big party, and I spent most of the time playing on the playground with my new-found friend and second cousin Aubrey!
