I went to a recorded opera for Honors Choir one Saturday. I was really excited about it, but was pretty let down. I didn't know it was all going to be in another language, and I thought it was an "Egyptian Opera." I went to Madelyn's afterward for her birthday sleepover.
The next day, we did family pictures with Dad's side of the family and I was able to go to a couple of positional volleyball practices. We worked specifically on serving and receiving, and hitting. Papa Rick and Nana Peggy were in town for about a week so we got to spend time with them. We all went out to see Frozen 2 and I was so excited! I loved Frozen when I was little and I think this one was even better!
I had another orthodontist appointment and he said that I have officially lost all my baby teeth! I will be ready for braces in about 6 months (or any time after that.) I want to get them now!
Going against tradition, we put up the Christmas tree and decorations the day before Thanksgiving. Although I would rather be with my friends, I guess it isn't so bad to hang out with family. We had a nice time with extended family for Thanksgiving. We went to Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom's on Thursday, Papa Ron's on Friday, had brunch with Papa Rick and Nana Peggy on Saturday morning and an early dinner at Nana Arden and Papa Rodney's on Saturday afternoon.
Finally, I was ball girl for the final MU volleyball game for the season. I have really enjoyed taking on this role and can't wait until next year. I am so sad that Riley is a senior and won't be playing anymore. I got my jersey for my volleyball season. I am so excited to be wearing #5 (Ali's number!) I am a little uncomfortable with how tight the jersey is, but my parents are assuring me that it is supposed to fit that way and that I look great. I have my doubts.
Our class has been working on a project in groups where we are researching and designing chicken coops. (We named ourselves "Chicken Strips.") I worked so hard and was really proud of my power point. When I was gone to EEE, my group went into my iPad and changed my whole presentation. I was so mad and it was hard to get over that. I was even rude to our assistant principal when I had to ask her a question. I'm just having a hard time expressing and controlling my emotions lately. We gave our presentation to a freshman geometry class for them to vote, and I was appalled at their behavior in class. However, they chose our group! I am really excited because we will start building the chicken coop at our school soon!
Our Honors Choir group recorded some music one morning to be on TV, and our school choir performed a concert at our school and another one at the mall! Papa Ron came for the one at the mall and took us out to McDonald's. I was able to participate in the Rock Bridge High School Show Choir Saturday again this year. I had so much fun again. The theme was Crocodile Rock. It is going to be hard to decide between vocal and volleyball in high school. I hope I don't have to!
I spent the night at Lila's later that night and we stayed up way too late! The next weekend I stayed at Ella's and did the same thing. My doctor is wondering if the lack of sleep is contributing to my moodiness and headaches that I get sometimes.
