Week 39...Getting faster!

Hi everyone! I had a very interesting week. Daddy and I were on our own Sunday night through Tuesday. He did a great job even when I was not feeling well Monday night. These teeth are really bugging me. I have one new tooth coming in on the top and there is another one on its way. I got to spend some time with Nana Arden and Papa Rodney this weekend while mommy and daddy looked at cars. I guess the Mustang is on its way out?? I don't know why ;-) I have gotten adventurous at home now. I am crawling into the kitchen and yesterday I crawled all the way down the hallway and into mommy and daddy's room. I found all kinds of new places to hang out. I am getting really fast with my crawling...it keeps mommy and daddy on their toes! I get to go to the doctor this week for my 9 month check up. I can't believe I am that old and neither can my parents. I am looking forward to next week because there is this thing called Thanksgiving and I think mommy really loves this holiday (not as much as Easter though). I really can stand on my own but I just let mommy think she is helping :-) So, think you can catch me? I love my mommy! I'm not supposed to touch what daddy? See, I told you I could stand! Week 38...Sad and happy times

Whew, what a week. It was sad for two main reasons. First, we had to put Tiger down this week. She was a good cat and we all loved her. We will miss her a lot but we know she is playing with Sadie and Gunther. I am also sad because Mommy is at a conference this weekend and will even be gone until next Tuesday! I will miss her very much. It is a happy week because I learned how to crawl and I got to go down to the lake with daddy to stay with mommy for Saturday and Sunday. I enjoyed hanging out in the hotel room and sleeping in the same room with them. Daddy said I was much quieter than last time. Daddy and I will hang out together this week and we will be happy when mommy gets home. I am looking forward to having my family all back together again. Saying goodbye to Tiger. I really loved her! Mommy took me outside to play with leaves. I had soooo much fun. Long lost monkey is back so now I have monkey and puppy together again! This is how I woke up...mommy had to get a picture. Week 37...I changed my mind!

OK, so I said I was going to skip crawling and go to walking, but I decided to learn to crawl this weekend! I don't go very far for very long because I don't have to-everything I need is pretty close. I think this is going to be a lot of fun, and I can get into a lot of trouble! Mommy and Daddy tried to get it on film, but I'm pretty sneaky. Daddy surprised Mommy on Friday night and took her on their first date since I have been around. That meant time with Nana Arden and Papa Rodney! Fun, fun! We also took a trip to Washington on Halloween to visit my other grandparents! (The batteries in the camera died after my costume pictures, so we didn't get any pictures at Papa Ron and Nana Carol's house.) Here I am in my Halloween turkey get-up. This is so humiliating! Is Daddy going to be a turkey? Chilling out with Grandpa. I love to be held by Grandma! Look-I can stand too! This was after a walk with Mommy and Daddy while we were enjoying the brief visit from the sun. I got chilly and pulled the blanket up though. Great things come in small packages! What is Tiger going to do next? Daddy and I love our time together! Just me and puppy! Daddy and me enjoying the view out the front door. I love playing with Tiger. I am going to miss her. She won't be around anymore after Tuesday. :(
This was a lot of fun being pulling around in a box. I fit very well I think!

Week 36...Guess what I can do now...

I can now get into a sitting position when I am laying down! I am an even bigger fan of standing up. I think I will just skip that crawling thing everyone talks about. Walking looks a lot more fun! Mommy and Daddy moved my crib mattress down this weekend, just in case. I can also wave and say "Hi!" I learned that from an older girl at Annie's. I also learned that it feels funny when I shake my head no. Mommy and Daddy took me to storytelling at the library again. I am getting to be a regular and I know a lot of the songs. Mommy got off work early on Tuesday and I was so excited. We celebrated by me getting a flu shot. Wait, that wasn't supposed to happen! I was such a big girl though-it didn't hurt too bad. On Friday, Mommy took me to see GrandNana in her new place. I was a hit with all the people there! This Saturday, Daddy and Mommy took me to a nursery where we picked out a tree for our front yard. It was so muddy that we couldn't drive in our car, and we had to ride in a Gator! What an adventure! Splish, splash I was taking a bath...(it really was on Saturday night!) I thought that song was better than "Tiny Bubbles!) OK, where's the food? I really love my puppy. I take most of my naps at home with him. I just can't believe how bad the Tigers are playing. Are the Chiefs any better?

Week 35...Cough, Cough, Sniffle, Sniffle

What a week! Both mommy and me have been sick about all week. I had a couple of rough nights but mommy and daddy took care of me. Daddy even drove me around from 3 to 4 in the morning to try and help me sleep. I waved bye bye to mommy this week and was able to push myself up to a sitting position while resting up against mommy. I think mommy and daddy took me Christmas or Birthday shopping but I only remember looking at the lights in the ceiling at the store....or so they think. I tried whole grain cereal today but it was a bit too much with me being stuffed up and all. I think I will try it again when I get to feeling better. I got to go to a fun baby shower. I think this baby will be just as spoiled as I am. Overall it was a good week, I just hope that everyone gets to feeling better soon. The Chiefs win, finally! I thought they were going to replace Cassel with me! My Tony Pena catching stance I like to dump all of my toys out to find just the right one! There's a spider on my head, on my head... Week 34...more teeth...we think!

This was a very fast week! We got to visit Papa Rodney's brother and his wife last Monday. That was fun, but it kept me up past my bedtime! Daddy picked me up a few times this week which was nice. He got some good videos of me playing. More of my teeth are coming in so I have been kind of crabby but Mommy and Daddy still love me. I also got to eat my first finger foods! They tasted like bananas...mmmmm! Here I am with my first real taste of water!The water bottle is quickly becoming my favorite toy. Daddy caught me clapping! Week 33....Bouncing back!

I'm on the move! No, I'm not crawling...I'm bouncing where I want to go! You'll see in the video. I am eating more solids now and talking a lot! I can also find my Daddy when Mommy says, "Where's Daddy?"

It's cold enough for these sleeper things again!
