17 Months...Busy girl!

They have kept me really busy around here! I took my first trip to the zoo with Heather, Sean, and Ashley. I got to pet the goats and see some of my favorite animals-monkeys, tigers, and "shish" (translated as "fish")! I also took my first out of state vacation to Beaver Lake, Arkansas. I loved swimming in the lake and riding on the boats. I got to meet a lot of daddy's family there too. I was a stinker though, and didn't want to sleep. I got up at 6:30, then 5:30, then 4:30 and woke the whole house up. I'm catching up on sleep now though. I got my first boo-boo too when I fell down trying to run to daddy. I got to meet a couple of new babies this month too, and had some play dates. We celebrated mommy's birthday too and she got a new phone. That means I get to play with her old one! I now sing and dance along to several kids songs, including The Wheels on the Bus and the Hokey Pokey. I think I said my first appropriate sentence too: daddy monkey hat. (OK, daddy was wearing a monkey mask, but they didn't teach me that word!) Some new words: "its" (hands-when I want to hold hands), hot, stairs, papa, nana, cold, "back" (vacuum), clothes, dock, lake, stickers, tickle, cards, boo-boo, rock, bed, stars. 16 1/2 Months...Summer Fun!

Hi again! I am having a blast and learning lots this summer. I have been to the splash park a few times and love to get wet. I am also working on my eye teeth, and now have 13 teeth in all! I am really enjoying reading too and joined the reading club with the library. All I have to do is read every day (which is easy) and I get a free book at the end of the summer! I learned some new words too: "shish" (fish), car, pool, "mee-gic" (music), corn, "Peek A" (when I want to play peek a boo on the computer), broke, bigger, hungry, a man, "boon" (balloon), "gee go" (thank you), poo poo, potty, nose, shhh (when someone is sleeping), asked for a "huggie", "nack" (snack), dice, ice, "its" (hands, for when I want to hold hands). Mommy and Daddy have to translate sometimes. I met a couple of new babies too in the past couple of weeks! I can also jump off of both feet and land without falling too! I hear they have lots planned for me the next couple of weeks too. Can't wait to tell you about it! I like to get in with my bag of ballsOr, put it on my head! 16 Months...Summer, summer, summer!

Hi again! I am so happy-mommy and daddy are home with me for the summer! I have been up to all kinds of new things. I am starting to walk backwards, just because I can and I think it is funny. I have been to the park and now finally like the swings. We went to the splash park today and I got all wet! I also stop and sniff the flowers when I have the chance. My new favorite song is The Wheels on the Bus Go 'Round and 'Round. I had a bad reaction to my MMR shot earlier this month and that wasn't a lot of fun. We also had several friends visit one day! My newest words are: button, good girl, bug, shoes, turtle, pretzel, bag, keys, more, squirrel, boat, remote, water, back, dirt, helper, Elmo, toast, beep, beep, beep (as in the horn on the bus goes), zebra, horse, yucky, brush, mouse, fish. My count is over 50 now! Do I look ready for bed? New fashion trend-bloomers on the head! Kisses for mommy! Petting Crosley, the therapy dog Mommy's friend Jill let me hold Crosley's leash! I can rest now that all of my toys are exactly where they are supposed to be I'm ready for the game-go Cards! Daddy thinks I'm sleeping, ha ha! Funny girl! Daddy is pretty in a hat, don't ya think? 15 1/2 Months...Words, words, words!

That is the topic for the past two weeks! I can say so much. Here's a recent run-down...berries (I love strawberries and blueberries!), beans, hat (I gave it to mommy so we could go outside), "co-co" (scarecrow), milk, "box" (blocks), moon, monkey, apple, "bankie" (blanket), Becca, and Harper. I got to hang out with my cousins this weekend and it was a lot of fun. I played shy for the first time ever and buried my head in mommy's shoulder and snuggled for about 20 minutes before warming up to everyone. Once I did though, look out! I loved my cousin Becca. I followed her around everywhere and repeated her name over and over, even in the car ride home and the next day! I had a little cold a couple weeks ago and even threw up from coughing so hard. That wasn't fun. I had a check-up and the doctor said I was doing great. I weighed 24.2 pounds and was 30.3 inches long. I'm losing a lot of my baby fat. We went to the Parents as Teachers carnival a couple of weeks ago too and had a good time. I love the balls and even ran around on the track. Mommy was so proud! It was fun to play with all of the new toys outside and see a lot of kids. I am starting to kick balls on the floor and I try to jump! I don't get off the ground, but it sure is fun to try! Looking through my favorite catalog with mommyDaddy gets to look too! With daddy by "my" tree Pretty girl (mommy's favorite picture) I insisted on wearing both pairs of shoes...this was the best daddy could do! I finally got all the balls and myself up here with daddy! Kisses for daddy for helping me!More bubbles! I also insist on putting all my toys in my chair and then sitting in it. It doesn't always work well, but this time it did! I don't think Pujols does his own vacuuming! First time in my baby poolI wiped out, on daddy! With my cousin How did I get in here?
