2 1/4 years-time is flying!

This has been a big month for family. Grandma and Grandpa Boyer came into town for a while and I got to spend some good time with them around Easter. That same day, Grand Nana passed away. It was a very sad, busy, and confusing time. I got to go to the visitation and the party at Nana Arden and Papa Rodney's. Easter weekend, I went to Washington to see Papa Ron and Nana Carol and Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom. That's 8 grandparents in one weekend! I was a little "off that next week. I started hitting, pushing, and biting at Miss Annie's. I think I was just really tired or something, but I sure was proud to tell Mommy about it when she came to pick me up. Thank goodness things are somewhat back to normal and I caught up on sleep I've been saying some cute and funny things too. When Mommy was talking to herself in the car, I said, "Mommy, you talking by yourself?" I also noticed the vehicle in front of us and said, "There are 3 people in that car. Actually, it's not a car, it's a truck!" I am getting good at praying before I eat too. My favorite question to ask these days is, "Where is it at?" I got to make a quick trip to Washington for Mother's Day, Grandma Kathy's birthday, and Great Grandma Rose's 80th birthday! I also got to meet my new cousin Tyler, and play with Anthony. I have been playing a lot outside too. I love to kick the ball around with Mommy. Finally, I got to go to this fun place and see Curious George and the "Yellow Man with the Yellow Hat" and Clifford! It was so cool and I was so excited. I got to give them hugs and high fives! Summer is coming soon, and I know Mommy and Daddy have lots of fun things planned for us! 26 Months...Outdoors, here I come!

This has been a great month to be outside! I went to my cousin's birthday party and got to jump on a trampoline for the first time. I also got two new outside toys-a house all to myself and a water tray toy. I just love being outdoors! I helped Mommy and Daddy plant flowers too. When Mommy was on spring break, we got to visit lots of family and friends and it was a lot of fun. Mommy and Daddy also enrolled me in preschool already for the fall. I am excited to go and make new friends and learn a lot. They also took me to Cold Stone Creamery, so I went out for ice cream for the first time! I got blue cotton candy ice cream with sprinkles. Miss Annie and Mr. Kenny got a new huge rocking horse at their house that I LOVE to ride! I have a few tricks up my sleeve too. I watched how Papa Rodney changed the batteries in a stuffed animal, so when I got up from my nap, Mommy and Daddy found the sound box taken out of my Curious George doll-twice! I serenaded them to B-I-N-G-O as a wake-up call one morning too. I am speaking more in stories and using pronouns better. When Daddy was exercising, I said, "You can do it, Daddy!" I'm 2!!!! And boy, can Mommy and Daddy tell! I've been just a little challenging lately (running away, defiant, shouting "NO", demanding)! I had my Elmo birthday party on February 20th and had so much fun! I got lots of good presents and loved having so many people around. The next day, I had my 2 year check-up, got my 2 year pictures taken, and checked out another pre-school! Can we say "growing up?" I wonder where I will go next year. Later that week, I got a yucky cough and "burped on the green ones" (threw up on my green sheets at night.) I had a low grade fever too. Luckily the next day, we got a surprise snow day together! Mommy took me to meet Ashley's new little brother Ian that weekend, and also to Grandpa Tom's 70th birthday party! It was a lot of fun playing with all my cousins. Ashley also gave me some of her clothes and I love them-she has good taste in fashion! The next week, I started to have some pain in my hips especially during diaper changes at Annie and Kenny's, but it went away. When it came back last week, Mommy took me to the doctor. He said I had toxic synovitis from the virus I had the week before and that it would go away-thank goodness! Just recently, I decided to take off my pants, shoes, and socks while I was supposed to be napping at Annie's! I have also been pooping in the potty chair and getting special stickers! The last time, I yelled, "That looks like a big hot dog!" I was just making an observation, but Mommy and Daddy thought it was really funny! This past weekend, we turned my car seat around in Mommy's car. Now I can tell her when the lights turn green all the time! I also got to spend some time with Nana Arden while Mommy and Daddy went to dinner for their anniversary. It sure has been a busy month!
