3 1/4 Years Old...let the silliness begin!

I am really growing up!  I watched my first movie at home, Winnie the Pooh, and thought that was pretty cool.  We started reading 5 books and no TV 2 nights a week and that has been really cool because I love books!  We went to the zoo with Randy, Kristy, and Anthony this month.  I still love the elephants and alligators, but this time, I rode the train and LOVED it!  I giggled the whole time!  "It was awesome!"  I really like to play "puppy" with mommy where I pretend she is a puppy and I take care of her and tell her what to do.  I really don't like when my food touches when I am eating.  One night at dinner, daddy dropped a plastic cup and I shouted, "Bammit!"  I knew it was a bad word, but wasn't sure why.  I don't say that anymore.  I made mommy laugh when I said, "Mommy, I just realized something..."  I don't know what was so funny because I just wanted to tell her what I noticed!  I have also started to say "I'm just chilling out" when I lay down on the floor after a long day at pre-school.  I got to go to a whole bunch of parties too-birthday, going away, end of the school year, 2 retirement parties, and a baseball game-all in one week!  We went to mommy's hometown for Mother's day and Great-Grandma Rose's 80th birthday.  That was so much fun!  I also got to visit Annie and Kenny-I sure do miss them and love them!  This summer will be a lot of fun-I can't wait!

3 Years, 2 Months...a busy and exhausting start to spring

This month started off with St. Patrick's Day. I loved to tell people what to do: "You have to wear green on St. Patrick's Day. If you don't, you'll get pinched by a leprechaun!" I have also gotten a little sassier this month. When I am mad at mommy or daddy, I will say, "Fine! You're not my friend anymore!" I am telling people, "I'm gonna put you in jail!", which I learned from my cousins. Because of some rainy days, I was able to watch my first movies, Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King, at pre-school. I have really been into Strawberry Shortcake lately. I also started doing "flip-overs", which are sommersaults with no hands! I was really excited to be on spring break with mommy, because we were going to see a lot of people! We went to Auntie Heather's and I had a lot of fun playing with Ashley at the playground and chasing a bunny around her yard. We also walked to get ice cream, and Ashley's ended up all over me! We then went to Grandma Kathy's so we could play there, but got some really sad news. Great-Grandpa Willie died that night. Mommy tried to keep me busy and took me to lunch with Papa Ron and to get my hair cut. I was happy when my daddy got there and was really good at the visitation and funeral. We tried to make the most of the rest of the month, even though we were sad. We went to get my picture taken with the Easter Bunny and I wasn't scared at all! We had school pictures and an egg hunt at pre-school (my first of 4!) We made a fast trip to mommy's hometown the day before Easter so we could be back to visit with Grandma and Grandpa Boyer, who were in town from Tucson. 3 Years, 1 month...I just keep getting bigger and bigger!

I really enjoyed my Dora birthday party. I was surrounded by people I love and who love me! I think I was a little overwhelmed by everyone and all the gifts! My play is getting more sophisticated now. I like to pretend that I am a mommy, which means I wear jewelry and shoes and walk around the house. I also like to make lemon cake and coffee with marshmallows for mommy and daddy. They say it is delicious! I'm learning so much at pre-school. We learned about Dr. Seuss (and I really want to see "The Worax", that is The Lorax), about my heart, about brushing my teeth, and all about leprechauns! I know they are tiny and green and will pinch you if you don't wear green, so I am making sure to tell everyone to wear green! I got sick with a fever a couple of times this month, and one lasted 4 1/2 days! Mommy and daddy took turns staying home with me, and I even spent a day with Nana Arden. It was nice to be with them, but I felt really miserable! Glad I feel better now! Mommy was gone a lot to meetings this month, so I got to spend lots of time with daddy. We all went to mommy's hometown to visit my grandparents last weekend too. We had so much fun! I got to cut flowers and even got to decorate a vase with stickers! Not just anyone would let me do that! When we were driving there, I saw a church without a roof and wanted to know "Where is that building's lid?" The weather has been so beautiful lately, and I was able to go to the park. Mommy and daddy were so proud-I was polite, waited patiently, took turns, and followed diretions. This was a couple days after I said, "stupid mommy" when I was upset. I learned that isn't a very nice thing to say. Other than that, I am really learning how to control myself and ask for what I want. Birthday girl with her Dora cake Cousins sharing a moment Great game! Tuckered out after the party Bowling with my friend Ashley I love holding on to my daddy Miserably sick...again! I finally let my mommy braid my hair Not too bad for the first try! Mother and daughter
