4 Years, 4 Months...Lots of new stuff!

I really wanted to stay up later this month, as the days got longer.  There is just so much to do!  Unfortunately, I woke up with a "spicy" throat and fever the day before my first Cardinals game.  I felt better that day though.  Daddy's school was going to play after the Cardinals, so it was a long day.  The Cardinals won, and so did North Callaway!  I got to run the bases on the field after the game.  That was so cool, and all the adults kept telling me they were jealous that they didn't get to do it!  I ended up having a fever the next two days though-bummer!  Later in the week, my class went on a class picnic.  I got to hang out with my friends, and flew a kite for the first time!  It was a lot of fun, and Mommy got to make it for a little bit.  Before she left, I told her it was the best day ever!  When Mommy  picked me up that night, the teachers told her that my eye was itching and watering and red.  You guessed it-pink eye!  We went to Urgent Care and I got drops for it.  I was such a trooper with putting the drops in!  I laid down, closed my eye, and blinked when they told me to.  Easy-peasy!  Good thing, because I ended up getting pink eye in the other eye!
I was so excited on the day of my graduation!   Miss Jodi told Mommy that I was jumping around all morning, just beside myself with excitement!  All of my grandparents came down, and I got to have a party at our new house!  It rained really hard that day and night so graduation and the party had to be inside.  I was really sad to leave Miss Sam and Miss Jodi's class, and nervous that I wouldn't know what to do in the 4s and 5s class.  I am starting there a few days a week, and getting used to it.  My class went swimming one day and I had a lot of fun.  We will go a few more times this summer.  The other days, Mommy and I have fun!  We get to do lots of different things.  I started the Summer Reading program at the library, and am half way finished with it!  I also ran 3 miles on the track one day with Carrie!  We also played tennis and went to the park that day.  I started gymnastics lessons at Flipz.  I really like the balance beam, but am scared of the bars.  I also just finished my second week of swimming lessons.  I am repeating the class from last year.  I am scared to put my face in the water and jump in the water.  I don't really like floating on my back either, which I was really good at last year.
One day, Mommy asked me how I got to have such a good memory.  I replied, "I don't know.  Maybe God just made me that way!"  I have been obsessed about bugs and ticks lately.  I keep talking about them, and was really excited to follow around the "bug guy" who came to spray our house.  I am also obsessed with hail.  We have had so many hail storms the past two months, that I think hail will damage everyone's house!  I even draw hail when I draw a house!
Finally, I got to have a play date with my friend Dutch.  He moved on to kindergarten and isn't at my preschool anymore.  I call him my boyfriend, but I share him with Brynn.  Dutch and I had a lot of fun playing in the water.  I can't wait to see him again!

4 1/4 Years...All Moved!

We moved!  It was really so much fun.  I had a lot of questions, but was excited to have my own room and playroom at the new house, plus we got to have a camp-out the last night in our old house!  I was the last one asleep.  I loved having friends over to play when everyone was moving our boxes to the new house.  We had a lot of help!  We are working on getting settled, and I really want my bedroom to be painted in rainbow colors.  I think I can convince mommy, but getting daddy on board might be a little harder.
I had my first field trip this month.  Our class walked to Culver's.  We got to walk in the freezer and refrigerator.  I have made a lot of growth this month as a learner too.  I know how to write my first and last name, and I found my "l's"!  I make sure I put my tongue up by my teeth when I say "El-lie!"  I also had mostly dry nights right before we moved, but that is hard in the new house.
I was excited to celebrate daddy's birthday, but he was sick.  That made me sad, so I ate ice cream for him that day!  We celebrated the next weekend at Nana Arden's.
My friend Carrie and I started the marathon for the summer.  We did 1.2 miles around the lake.  Only 21 more to go!  The next day, I came home with a sore neck and mommy said I had 101 fever.  She gave me some Tylenol for the ride to Grandma Kathy's and I was in a really good mood.  I had a bad night terror that night though.  I seemed a little better the next day when I stayed with Grandma Kathy while mommy had some time with Auntie Heather.  After that, we visited Nana Carol and Nana Arden for Mother's day.
This week at bedtime, I told mommy I had a secret.  "I love you.  Thank you for giving birth to me in the new world like this...TA DA!"
 Fancy tea party!

4 Years, 2 Months...Easter fun!

Believe it or not, we had another snow storm at the end of March!  Mommy and I went early to her hometown for some events since it was her spring break, and ended up getting stuck there!  We were able to dye Easter eggs with Grandma Kathy, and throw the dye out in the snow!  We also got to have lunch with Papa Ron for his birthday.  I had 5 Easter egg hunts this year-at my preschool, at a Church, at Papa Ron and Nana Carol's, at Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom's, and at Nana Arden and Papa Rodney's house!  I told mommy and daddy, "If the Easter Bunny ran out of places to hide the eggs, I will help him."  Papa Rick and Nana Peggy were also in town this month.  We had a lot of fun with them.  They came to visit us and we went out to eat a couple of times.  They gave me a guitar which I love to "rock out" on!
I told mommy, "I asked God and Jesus and heaven to make you my mommy."  I think I saw her heart melt!  I am now able to write my first and last name, and love learning my letters.  I was really happy to go back to school after Easter to see my friends.  I got my pictures taken at school too.  I saw a pirate movie with my friend Brynn.  We got a new roof on our house and went out for donuts that morning because it was too loud!
I also rode my bike for the first time.  I did pretty good, but was scared when it went too fast.  I tipped over and had my first bike "wreck", but survived!  No blood was shed!
I love to sing songs on the radio.  Here is my latest: "Bring me the cheek boys, bringing my sword, gonna get lost until I rock and roll."  That is "Drift Away" for those who weren't sure!
