5 Years, 5 Weeks...SUMMER!!!

Summer school ended and vacation began!  I really enjoyed my new school (Shepard) and my teacher Mrs. Sicht.  I was really well behaved except for one day when I pushed a girl at recess.  We were playing a game and then ran to get in line.  I didn't want her to get in front of me so I pushed her.  She fell down and skinned her knee.  My consequence was taking her to the office and I felt so bad, I fessed up to Mommy and Daddy when they came to pick me up at the end of the day.
I have been really brave at trying new things this month.  I had my first sleep over at Aunt Lisa and my cousins' house.  I am able to recite the Pledge of Allegiance, swim a short distance all by myself, and am working on tying my shoes and riding my bike!  I've been playing t-ball in the backyard with Daddy a lot.
I went to Mommy's family party (the 2nd annual Frankenberg Fest) and had a blast with Mommy's cousin's daughter Nicole.  We had a fun get together at our house on the 4th of July and I watched fireworks outside our house. We have also made several trips to the library.
I got a cold with a stuffed up nose and coughing, and then my ears started hurting.  I tend to complain about a lot of ailments so Mommy didn't believe me for a while but Daddy suggested we go to the doctor.  I had a double ear infection and swimmers ear!  My swimming lessons were over for the summer-that was a bummer!  I also went to the dentist and found out my bottom two front teeth are a little loose.  I was so excited that I said, "This is the best day ever!"
I was really excited about Mommy's birthday, even more excited than she was!  I went to Michael's with Nana Arden and my cousins and made a craft box for her.  We went out to Steak N Shake afterward.  I was so excited for her to open her cards and presents!
I love holding Emily

I even helped put her jumper together

I got to help feed Emily

All this helping wears me out!

5 1/3 Years...Changes and Trying New Things!

This has been quite a month of changes!  I finished up my last month at Walnut Street Day School. It was really sad leaving my friends.  We had a lot of fun things happening before I left though.  We went to the park to go fishing one day (although I wouldn't go close to the water because I was scared I was going to fall in the water) and went to the park to play another day.  That was a lot of fun and Mommy got to come and visit for a little bit.  I also got to go swimming with my class one last time on my last day.  And of course, I graduated from preschool!  That was a fun day!  I learned to sing the Fifty Nifty United States and even taught my Mommy the song!  My grandparents got to be there and we had ice cream back at our house afterward.
I had to get myself ready for kindergarten too.  Unfortunately, the doctor's office messed up and I had to go back 3 times for 4 different shots before they would let me go to summer school.  I screamed so loud the first time, and the second time, I hid from Daddy and ran away.  Finally, the third time I felt a little more brave.  Good thing I got ice cream after each trip!
Because I didn't have my shot record, I wasn't assigned to a summer school classroom until we went during open house.  I was put in Mrs. Blume's class and I was really excited!  I liked her a lot.  She had blonde hair and was left-handed, just like me!  Emma was in this class too.  On the first day, I got all settled and coloring and then found out they switched me to Mrs. Sicht's room.  I was really nervous, but Bella was in this class. I had a tummy ache and went to the nurse the first day, but after that, I have really loved it!
I had some boo-boos this month too.  My family was going to go for a walk, but I tripped right next door and scraped my knee.  The next day, I fell on the same knee at preschool!  I was also really tired one night when I went to the bathroom and fell asleep on the toilet.  I fell off and bit my tongue and bumped my chin on the bathtub!  I got sick my last week at preschool and threw up so I missed one of my last days there.
Other fun things that we did-we had a BBQ at Aunt Lisa's for Memorial Day, I spent the night at Nana Arden's house, I went to Lexi's birthday party at Bonkers, Stacey and Ryan, Jaxson and Harrison visited, and we went to Camille's birthday party.  I went to Mommy's Great-Aunt Minnie's auction and that was really cool.  I wondered how the guy was able to breathe because he talked so fast!  Then, we went to Aunt Mary and Uncle Duane's house for Father's Day.  I had a blast out there!  I rode on a four-wheeler, fed horses, and petted cows!  So much fun!
I can't wait to share all I am learning in kindergarten summer school next month!
