5 1/2 Years Old...Getting Ready for Kindergarten!!!

I can't believe summer is almost over!  I will be going to real kindergarten next week.  I have been really excited, but after Back to School Night, I am starting to get a little nervous.  I have Mrs. Sicht, the same teacher I had for summer school.  I really like her, and I think I will learn a lot from her this year.
My tooth is really getting wiggly!  The race is on to see if I will lose this tooth or if Emily gets a tooth first!
We have done a lot of fun things this month with family and friends.  Check out this list:
  • We went swimming at the ARC a couple of times,
  • went to Family Fun Fest downtown,
  • went to the zoo (which was awesome-I loved the butterflies and the elephants!),
  • had a family get together at our house,
  • I spent the night at Nana Arden's new house a couple of times,
  • went clothes shopping for school,
  • watched Anthony play baseball,
  • we went to a party at Miss Annie and Mr. Kenny's,
  • met up with Mommy's counselor friends for a meeting,
  • had a preschool reunion,
  • had Emily's baptism,
  • went the library a couple of times and then walked to the grocery store,
  • made ooblick,
  • went to Kirksville to visit Stacey, Jaxson, and Harrison and saw Truman,
  • had a North Callaway administration party (I met a friend who is exactly one year younger than me and we had a blast together!)
  • had a North Callaway party at our house, and
  • visited Lillian and Grayson.
Whew!  That is a lot for one month!
I have said quite a few things that have cracked people up.  When talking about strangers, I said "If a stranger grabbed me, I would yell and then PANIC!"  When we were at the zoo, I asked Mommy how baby zebras ate. She said they drink milk from their mommies like Emily does.  I replied, "Except they don't wear bras!"  When Mommy messed up a recipe, I said, "I guess there are worse things in life!"  After I tooted, I said that I "floated an air biscuit."  Finally, on a particularly trying day, I told Mommy, "I hate you and I want to find a new mom."
Other than that, I have really been a huge helper with Mommy and Emily.  (Daddy went back to work.)  I love to get things that they need and entertain Emily.  I also like to organize Emily's toys and help clean the house.  Mommy is going to miss me when I go to kindergarten next week.
