We have gone to the library several times. I am going through books so fast! I completed my summer reading from the library and from Barnes and Noble already. I also got to read to dogs again this month.
I lost two teeth this month too! I ate an entire hot dog and my wiggly top right tooth didn't fall out, but rainbow sherbet did the trick for some reason. I lost my bottom (second) right one 3 days later! I pulled it out on my own in the bathroom. Now my mouth looks more symmetrical!
I am getting a lot more comfortable with Twist. I really love to snuggle him. I got to help bring him to his first vet appointment too.
We had a couple more play dates with Brynn and Bella that involved rain and a swimming pool. It was a lot of fun and I was really sad to skip two weeks of playing to go to swimming lessons. Mommy worked it out so Bella and I had an all day play date at our house one day. We did so much-did an art project for the 4th of July, played with water guns, painted our fingernails and toenails, and just played like crazy with toys. A couple days later, Bella and I went to the Oakland pool together and had so much fun in the water there! We also all went to Brynn's brother Blake's birthday party at Little Mate's Cove. I have really good friends!
I really did enjoy swimming lessons this summer! I loved my teacher Sherrie. She taught me to do the backstroke, front crawl, and jump in the deep end! I really love the backstroke. I'm not too crazy about putting my face in the water, but I am getting better. I was very hesitant to jump in the deep end too, but I think I just need more practice. I passed Level 3! Emily had swimming lessons at the same time, so it was pretty cool to have them across the pool from me.
We went to Nana Arden and Papa Rodney's and got to play in the sprinklers and with water guns. I had a blast! We also went to Washington for Father's Day. I got to see Nana Carol and Papa Ron and play with Chase. We went to Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom's and I played with my cousins there. The next weekend we went to the Frankenberg Fest. I loved playing with Mommy's cousin's daughter Nicole. We played salon in her playhouse and went swimming. I hated to leave!
Mommy went to a conference and was gone for a couple of days, so Daddy was in charge. I think he did a great job even though I missed Mommy. The day she came back, we ran 3 miles at night! We were very proud of ourselves! We also had a Mommy-daughter date to get some new clothes for the school year. Mommy also took Emily and me to B&B Bagel and Barnes and Noble one morning.
We had a 4th of July party here and it was so nice to have so many people I loved here! All of Daddy's family, Stan and Kelly (our old neighbors), Brian and Cindy (our new neighbors), Jill and Crosley, and Uncle Kevin came. Corinne spent the night and we got to do sparklers. It was so much fun!
I love Mommy's friend Miss Rachel and I got to have a play date with her one afternoon. She took me to Bonkers (and said it was a good workout!) and then to Orange Leaf. Then, we came back and walked five dogs! She has two of her own and fosters dogs. She and I love a lot of the same things!
I went to my cousin's house to play one day, had a visit from Aunt Michele, went to Fazoli's and Orange Leaf with my family, and went to Kirksville. We visited Stacey, Ryan, Jaxson, and Harrison. I loved jumping in their indoor bounce house and getting chased and flipped by Ryan. We brought pizza over to Nana Arden's house and played a while. I had a dentist appointment and had a good report. They showed me where I need to brush a little better and said I don't have deep grooves in my back teeth. I don't know what that means, but Mommy seemed happy. I do have a cross bite still and we may have an orthodontist consult next year. Not sure what that means either, but Mommy didn't seem as excited about that!
We have less than a month before school starts and so much to do and fun to have before then!
