9 Years, 3/4 Years...Busy girl!

I started playing practical votes at home that I saw on YouTube.  My favorite one was putting cardboard under the toilet seat with a small hole in it that said "Expert Mode".  I love to trick my dad!
I went to multiple MU volleyball games this month, including one with Iris and we found Lila there.  Before another game, I got to sing the National Anthem with the Cardinal Choir!  It was pretty awesome!  Our family also went to the MU Homecoming parade.
Right after the last volleyball game, I lost a tooth.  I had been wiggling it for a while.  I told Mom, "This might be Willow's last time to visit me before...are you the tooth fairy?  Is Daddy?"  She said no, and the next morning I told her that I remembered that I would be getting a new tooth fairy when I am 10 and I may not lose another tooth before that.  I got a dollar and a gold chocolate coin.  I was pretty excited because she never gave me a gold coin before!
Our family also went to the Zoo and got to see our favorite animals.  I still get excited when I see the elephants!  Afterward, we went to Heather and Sean's to eat lunch and hang out before going home.
Mommy's friend Jenna got a golden retriever puppy named Cooper and we got to meet him.  He was so cute and we found out he has a sister for sale.  I got my hopes up too high thinking we would get him and I sobbed after we left.  Part of that was from being tired from all my activities, including birthday parties!
Madelyn had her birthday party at Sky Zone and had a sleepover after.  We stayed up late and made a lot of slime.  Then, Brynn had her Harry Potter birthday party.  I haven't read the books yet, but probably will someday.  Now, I am really into The Land of Stories and 39 Clues.
Halloween was a lot of fun this year.  Our school had a Monster Mash.  There were a lot of games and a dance where we ran around all over the place.  I dressed up as Annabeth Chase from Percy Jackson for Halloween.  We had a party at school, and went trick-or-treating with play date kids at Carrie's house.
We have had two field trips this month.  Mom took off work and went to the Capitol and Governor's Mansion with us.  Madelyn and her mom went with us to Central Dairy afterwards.  We also had a field trip to see Beauty and the Beast at Battle High School.  I also got the Lunch with the Principal award at our assembly.  Dr. Chandler took me and 2 other 4th graders to Slim Chickens.
We had some grandparent time too.  Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom came into town and we went out to eat at Texas Roadhouse one night.  We visited them the next morning at their hotel and went swimming.  Mom and Dad went to their conference and Emily and I spent two nights and 3 days at Nana Arden's.  We ate lots of McDonald's!  I went out with Nana Arden to the store to give her ideas for Christmas.  I also went over to Aunt Lisa's to spend time with Corinne one day.
The rest of the month has been busy with choir, piano, Girls on the Run. We did get a lot of snow early this year and have already had a late start.  It was nice to sleep in a little bit.  I had my parent teacher conference with Miss Geha and it was excellent!  She had so many nice things to say about me and I do feel a lot closer to her now.

9 1/3 Years Old...Sleepovers!!!

I have kept myself busy before and after school with choir, piano, Girls on the Run.  I also joined Student Council, and mom is the main moderator.  I decided to run for Secretary and wrote my own speech.  When I got to the meeting, I found out I was the only one running for Secretary.  I immediately felt much more confident.  I did win, and I am really excited to get started.  We had our EEE Open House too, and I had a lot of fun finding the clocks hidden in the school.  Our theme is Time.  I am in the play with Mrs. Rohr's class (I am a busy bee) and in the mythology class.  I got both classes that I wanted!
We have already had picture day and should get the pictures back soon.  I also was surprised with a flu shot.  It took two adults to keep me in my chair, but I did it!  It didn't hurt as bad as I remembered.  But, I was mad at mom for signing me up for one!
I was invited to my friend Keri's birthday party sleepover and mom and dad were not going to let me spend the night because they had never met her mom.  After texting with her, they felt much better and they let me go!  I ended up staying up until 3:30 in the morning and was exhausted and took a 3 hour nap the next day.
The next week, I went to Lila's birthday sleepover and stayed up just as late!  Lila went with us to South Farm the next day and we had fun in the corn maze and walking around.
I had a day off school and spent it with Nana Arden.  She took me to the library and a pottery painting place.  I painted an elephant, so now I have all three of my favorite animals!
I have done a few things with Girls on the Run.  I went to hang out with the Columbia College women's basketball team and really enjoyed meeting them and playing basketball.  Sarah was my favorite player and I hope to watch her play sometime this year.  I also went to hang out with Rock Bridge High School's girls tennis team.  I really enjoyed tennis as well!  I would love to play more of both sports.  Corinne was my favorite player there.  I went with Cami to a swing dancing thing.  It was fun, but not as much fun as the others.  Cami spent the night that night and we again, stayed up way too late talking!
I have been to all the MU volleyball games so far.  Mom took Emily and me to one and we had a good time.  Our family went to Shakespeare's for pizza one night and Emily and I had fun playing with the dough.
I have been going to Emily's soccer games.  My grandparents come to a lot of the games, but it's hard not being the center of attention like I used to be.
We had a visit from Papa Ron and Nana Carol even though Emily's soccer game was canceled.  I was able to give them a tour of our new school, and we went to get fried chicken from HyVee.   I enjoyed playing basketball and volleyball outside with Papa Ron.  Later that day, we went to Aunt Lisa's to celebrate Papa Rodney's birthday and I got to play with Corinne.  Then, I went over to Ella's house to spend the night.  I haven't spent much time with her lately at school so it was really nice to hang out with her.  We stayed up until 11:00 talking, not as bad as the other sleepovers!  Our family went apple picking the next day.  It was a lot of fun to see all the animals on the farm.
