3 Years, 1 month...I just keep getting bigger and bigger!
I really enjoyed my Dora birthday party. I was surrounded by people I love and who love me! I think I was a little overwhelmed by everyone and all the gifts! My play is getting more sophisticated now. I like to pretend that I am a mommy, which means I wear jewelry and shoes and walk around the house. I also like to make lemon cake and coffee with marshmallows for mommy and daddy. They say it is delicious! I'm learning so much at pre-school. We learned about Dr. Seuss (and I really want to see "The Worax", that is The Lorax), about my heart, about brushing my teeth, and all about leprechauns! I know they are tiny and green and will pinch you if you don't wear green, so I am making sure to tell everyone to wear green! I got sick with a fever a couple of times this month, and one lasted 4 1/2 days! Mommy and daddy took turns staying home with me, and I even spent a day with Nana Arden. It was nice to be with them, but I felt really miserable! Glad I feel better now! Mommy was gone a lot to meetings this month, so I got to spend lots of time with daddy. We all went to mommy's hometown to visit my grandparents last weekend too. We had so much fun! I got to cut flowers and even got to decorate a vase with stickers! Not just anyone would let me do that! When we were driving there, I saw a church without a roof and wanted to know "Where is that building's lid?" The weather has been so beautiful lately, and I was able to go to the park. Mommy and daddy were so proud-I was polite, waited patiently, took turns, and followed diretions. This was a couple days after I said, "stupid mommy" when I was upset. I learned that isn't a very nice thing to say. Other than that, I am really learning how to control myself and ask for what I want. Birthday girl with her Dora cake

3 Years...I can do it all by myself!
I got to spend some fun times with mommy and daddy this past week. I had a snow day with mommy on Monday and we had so much fun playing outside and reading inside! Mommy and daddy came to my Valentine's party at pre-school, and then we played in the snow for a little bit when we got home. I brought orange Rice Krispie treats to school today for my birthday, and mommy and daddy took me out to eat pizza tonight! I thought "Shakespeare's Pizza" was a funny name and loud place, but the pizza was good. There was another girl there with the same birthday shirt that I had on, but she turned 2! I can't wait for my Dora party this weekend! I coughed a lot at night this past month, and also had a 102.4 fever last weekend. Mommy and daddy took me to Urgent Care because they thought I might have a UTI (I've been having a lot of accidents lately too and said my belly hurt), but I didn't. I got better really quick! Mommy and daddy laugh at a lot of funny things that I say. I shut the bathroom door on daddy for his "piracy". My favorite joke is "I'm gonna throw pancakes on your head!" They don't quite understand the humor in that one! I also ask for "humon and lemmey" (honey and lemon) when I cough. I also talked about a "panano" (piano). I am starting to say some words correctly: "Frosty" instead of "Crusty" or "Crosty" and "orange" instead of "oranges" being my favorite color. I have said some really amazing things lately about my great-grandpa Willie since he has been sick. When daddy was getting eye drops, I said, "Do God going to take care of you like he takes care of grandpa Willie?" I also "called" grandpa Willie on my phone and said to mommy, "He said he's going to be OK." I have also been having some huge temper tantrums lately. One morning, I woke up in a bad mood and pushed, hit, spit on, kicked, and bit mommy before leaving for pre-school. I just kept saying "I want my daddy!" I was really tired after that and had an OK day at school.

35 Months...Christmas was a blast!
I have been saying and doing some really cute things lately! I know how to hop on one foot! Some of the things I have said are, "I need to run. I need more energy in my bottom", "Mommy is a great counselor", "My brain's full of questions", and "pa-scare-a bus" (asparagus). I like to ask everyone and everything if they are my best friend over and over. I explained Santa like this: "When we're on the happy list, we get presents. When we're on the naughty list, we don't. We get a big black rock!" I wanted to leave out 2 cookies and milk for Santa, and 5 warm carrots for the reindeer because it's cold outside. I also made up my "baby Ro-ro", a 2 month old baby with orange eyes. "I think his daddy is Trey or something like that!" I had my first bad dream on New Year's Eve right before midnight. (I just wanted to be awake when the ball dropped!) It was about a black fuzzy man who was rolling around in the garage-very scary! We had Christmas at lots of places (at my preschool, Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom's, Great-Grandpa Willie and Great-Grandma Rose's, Papa Ron and Nana Carol's, and Nana Arden and Papa Rodney's) and had several visitors (Stacey, Ryan, and Jaxson, Papa Ron and Nana Carol, Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom, Kristy and Anthony, Great Aunt Michelle, Great Uncle Roger, and Daniel) and went to visit Heather, Sean and Ashley over the holiday break. I even got a snow day with mommy, and we built a snowman, made snow angels, and went sledding. I was disappointed that Frosty wouldn't run around with me. I also had a few accidents at pre-school, but they discovered that the first one was because I couldn't get my coat off in time, and after that, it was because I wanted to wear the cool rainboots like after my first accident! After Miss Kristina told me I would have to wear "ugly boy shoes", I stopped.
