4 11/12 Years...Christmas in the Air

I had a lot of fun things happen this month.  I had so many Christmas parties!  I had a pj Christmas party at pre-school and another party at my friend Dutch's house.  We had our Christmas at our house before heading to Mommy's hometown.  We had Christmas at Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom's, then went to Great-Grandma Rose's the next morning.  We had Christmas at Papa Ron and Nana Carol's that day too before heading back home.  Christmas night, I had 102 degree fever, but was fine by the next day!  Aunt Michele, Uncle Roger, and Daniel came to stay with us for a while.  That Saturday they were here, we had Christmas with Nana Arden and Papa Ron.  It was a lot of good family time!
Mommy and Daddy went to a Bed and Breakfast the next day and I got to spend the night at Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom's, my first night away from both Mommy and Daddy.  I did great!  On New Year's Eve, Mommy and Daddy declared it "Ellie Day" and let me do whatever I wanted because I had been such a good girl!  I ate McDonald's for lunch, a Popsicle for dinner, and watched 4 movies!  I tried so hard to stay up all night, but fell asleep at 10:45.
After the New Year, we had a visit from Nana Carol and Papa Ron.  I was all ready for other visitors too, but we got a lot of snow and ice and ended up missing our visitors and two days of school.  Mommy and Daddy had a party at our house and I spent the night for the second time away from them at Nana Arden's.  I'm getting ready for when the baby comes!
Funny things I have said: While playing Barbies with Grandma Kathy, she was playing the "groom" and asked if I wanted to go on trips, have kids, and if I would clean.  When she asked this, I said, "I thought maybe you could do that!"  When mommy was trying to figure something out, I told her, "You can look it up on Google!"  When learning about feelings at preschool, I said, "I am happy and excited that mommy has the baby in her baby and that the baby is healthy!"  Mommy thought that was so sweet!
I got to go to a Big Kid's class to help prepare me for being a big sister.  I got to put a diaper on my stuffed animal, make a birthday card for my little sister, and dressed up as a doctor to see a real live baby!  I'm so ready for this-only about 6 weeks to go!

4 5/6 Years...So much to be thankful for

It was a busy month with Thanksgiving.  I got to see so many family members!  We had our preschool feast the day before Thanksgiving.   We had another Thanksgiving at Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom's.  Afterward, we went to Santa's Magical Kingdom to see a lot of pretty Christmas lights.  On Friday, we went to Nana Carol's and Papa Ron's for Thanksgiving.  After that, we went to the Christmas parade.  That Sunday, we went to Aunt Lisa's for desserts.  I got to play with my cousins and watch a movie with them.  I got to help decorate the house for Christmas, and visited Santa too!
We also did a lot of shopping for other people including Babies R Us for my baby sister, and I was very patient everywhere we went.  Our ELF showed up too!  I named him Elmo, and he moves every night to tell Santa how I have been.  However, I had a hard time that first week with my behavior.  I was even Star of the Week at school that week!  I got in trouble for lying twice to daddy and my teacher and brown puppy was taken away for two nights.  That didn't stop me though.  I lied again the next day at school!  Mommy and Daddy were really disappointed in me.  I was just trying to get out of trouble, but they told me that I wasn't even in big trouble with the things I did, but now I was in double trouble!   Later that night, they noticed that I had 100 degree fever.  That always seems to happen right after I get in trouble.  I told them I thought I got a fever because I lied.  Good thing I had a better week this past week!  St. Nicholas wasn't allowed to come until I had a good week.
Funny things I said this month: "I've got it taken care of mommy."  In the car on the way home, "I don't know about you mommy, but I'm taking a nap!"  "My brain hurts" when I had a headache with my fever.  I also had a bed dream this month about a really big bird who was eating kids.
