7 Years...Happy Birthday to Me!

More to come!
We did get a snow day this month!  I had such a blast sledding in the backyard!  The fence sure does create an extra barrier though!
We also had an early out this month and Nana Arden picked me and Corinne up and we played at her house for the afternoon.  Emily and I also went over there one evening when Mommy and Daddy went to a party for Daddy's school.
We had Math Night at school and Daddy took me and Emily around to the different rooms.  One of the games was Yahtzee!  I hung out with my friend Rose too.  I had Girl Scouts one afternoon.  I sold 68 boxes of cookies this year!  My friends and I had several play dates.  It is so nice when we get along!  Miss Rachel came over one night and it was so nice to hang out with her.  I really love her!  I want to be like her one day and be a foster mom for dogs and cats.
Mommy likes to take me on errands with her.  She says I am her number one helper.  Sometimes I like to go, and sometimes I would rather just stay home.  I really like getting cookies at HyVee, and going to the library.  My current favorite book series are Jigsaw Jones and A to Z Mysteries.
I passed 1st grade ST math this month.  I have been working so hard on this, and now I get to do challenge math before going to 2nd grade math.  To celebrate, we went to my favorite place-Orange Leaf!
This really is a month of celebrations!  We celebrated Valentine's Day at school.  I made a dog for my Valentine's box.  (Would you expect anything different?)  I wrote out my Valentine's really fast without any help.  I sure am growing up fast!  Mommy planned our class party.  We exchanged Valentine's, painted a heart craft, played a fun game, did an I Spy sheet, celebrated my birthday, and then ate lots of sugar!  The game involved us running to get a heart shape with how we were supposed to return to our team.  I had to do a bear crawl!
The next day was Bella's birthday party at the MAC.  We went swimming, jumped in a bounce house, and played soccer.  It was so much fun!  Corinne spent the night when we got home and hung out until my party the next day.
That right!  The day came for my dog party at Paint the Town.  Bella, Brynn, Blake, Gabe, Ella, Rose, and Corinne came.  While the paintings were drying, we played with balloons until Mommy yelled "stop!"  Then we had to pop our balloons and do the command on the paper inside.  Mine said to play dead.  It was really funny!
I'm looking forward to my family party and Emily's birthday this next week!

6 Years, 11 Months...Christmas fun

Our Christmas celebrations started off with our class party.  Mommy was our room parent.  We played some fun games like Don't Eat the Reindeer, Roll a Snowman, and Do You Hear What I Hear?  We also made a Christmas tree ornament out of paint chips which I helped get them ready.
Before our other Christmases started, we celebrated Nana Arden's birthday at her house with Shakespeare's Pizza.
I got my first Christmas present a little early.  Mommy and I had a date and she took me to get my ears pierced.  I was very startled by the noise and also didn't know the earrings were going to go straight into my ear.  I thought they were going to put them in later.  But, I was very happy with them.  They are turquoise flowers and are very pretty!  We went out for Orange Leaf after to celebrate.  Wedding cake with rock candy is my favorite.  We also went to the Humane Society to look at dogs and cats.  Later that night, I had a Daddy-daughter date at an MU women's basketball game.  I got Dippin Dots here.  I am all about the sweets!
The next day, we made a visit to Mr. Kenny's.  He put up Miss Annie's Christmas village.  It was so beautiful!  She would have been proud.  Too bad we didn't think to take a picture of it.
The Christmas celebrations then started.  We had our family Christmas on the 23rd.  Santa brought me an American Girl doll with a dog and dog pj's.  I gave Emily a book and some of my old Little People princesses.  She gave me a stuffed Everest dog from Paw Patrol.  I was so excited when I found the package that I didn't even let Emily give it to me!  The next day we went to Washington to celebrate with Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom, and the next day to Grandma Rose's and Papa Ron and Nana Carol's. We had a day at home to rest and play and then went to Nana Arden and Papa Rodney's.
Corinne got to spend the night the next night.  We always have a good time together.  I love how we get along so well.  We also had a nice visit with Stacey, Jaxson, and Harrison before the new year.
The next day was pretty exciting.  We took down the Christmas decorations early so we could bring up Mommy's old desk for me.  Now, Emily has my old desk and I have a big girl desk!  It is only temporary because I will probably get a different one when we get new furniture for my room.
We had several play dates over the past month.  We have been getting along so well lately!  No more fighting and tears and jealousy.  Everyone is a lot happier.  I think we are growing up!  Mommy and I went to a New Year's Eve party at Brynn's.  It was so much fun!  We played downstairs, watched a movie, and had sparkling grape juice at "midnight".
Auntie Heather, Uncle Sean, Ashley, and Ian came for a visit too after the new year.  Ashley, Ian, and I practiced to put on a show for everyone.
Before going back to school, Papa Rodney, Nana Arden, some of my cousins and our family went to another MU women's basketball game.  I was really excited to get back to school and learn more!  My New Year's resolutions are to learn about the brain (which Mommy is teaching about in counseling!) and to spend more time with my family and not go in my room as much.
I started selling Girl Scout cookies too.  My goal is to sell 80 boxes, but that might be hard because some of my customers from last year are not able to buy.  I know I will get some patches though.
When Mommy and I were in a parking lot, she grabbed my hand.  When I asked why, she said, "They are backing up and can't see you.  I'm taller than you are."  I said back to her, "Soon I'll have to hold your hand!"
I am only one month away from turning 7 and I am soooo excited!
