11 Years, 2 Months...Month of isolation

This month has been crazy! I thought that this month was going to be all about volleyball but turns out I was wrong. One month ago, school got out because of Covid-19.  I thought that we would be going back soon.  But again, I was wrong.  In the beginning of the month, I was very interested in learning about Covid-19 (the symptoms, how many people have it, the death rate, etc.)  Now I am still curious about it but I know what it can do and its very scary hearing about all the people that it has killed and what it is doing to people who have it.  It sounds miserable.
I feel very sad that I don't get to see my friends and family members.  I miss getting to talk to them.  Because of Covid-19, I had to miss Papa Ron's birthday and all the Easters. I feel kind of guilty for not being able to come to Easter but I know that if staying home will keep me safe, that is something that I need to do.  I am so mad that my entire volleyball season got cancelled.  I know that we have to stay home but I wanted to win just one tournament and get one medal. I miss my class and graduation.  I'm not really that sad because I didn't want to give a speech at EEE but I still miss going to school and getting to see all the teachers and my friends.  I miss having sleepovers.  It is hard.
I have been trying to distract myself by talking to my friends to make it seem more normal.  I have been trying to do the schoolwork that Mr. Higgins has been assigning but whenever Schoology crashed, I couldn't do anything.  Now we have to go to paper packets which just seems stupid.  I have been reading a lot of my books that I haven't taken the time to read.  I have also cleaned out my room to keep my mind off the Coronavirus.
There are good things that have been happening during this time, such as me getting a phone!  I was so happy whenever I found it in my Easter basket that I almost dropped it.  I got the phone to communicate with my friends. I also like listening to my music.  I have been able to spend a lot more time with Molly.  I also have been able to play a lot of games with my family such as Blokus, Pictionary, Clue, Speed (a card game), and many more.  With the help of my little sister, I got to beat Mom at Blokus!
I don't know what is going to happen for the future of the world but I am kind of scared to find out.
No school for the rest of the year, what to do with our time?
Lots of board games
 Loving on Molly
  Lots of play fights
Making meals on Mondays instead of EEE Food Science class-Chicken Parmesan

11 Years, 1 Month...Birthday parties and abrupt endings

I had such a blast at my friend "Murder Mystery" birthday party.  Most of my friends thought I was the murderer, but I was relieved to discover that I was not!  Brynn ended up being the murderer of Ivana Hugnkiss.  Keri and Taylor spent the night and we all got along really well.
I celebrated my birthday at school with donuts on the 18th because of Valentine's Day and all the days off.  Our Valentine's parties were actually canceled because of snow.
I had a great parent teacher conference. Mr. Higgins said I have made a lot of growth and he is recommending me for honors math.  I think I am ready for middle school-I just need to know where I am attending!
I have had a lot of volleyball practices and did some extra clinics when they were offered.  One of them was with 13 years old, and I was really intimidated by one of them!  We had two tournaments this month.  The first one was in Lawrence Kansas.  We went and visited Jill and I got to meet Ale!  It was amazing!  He licked my face so much that I couldn't move it after it dried!  I had Fazoli's lasagna and it is now my favorite restaurant.  The volleyball tournament was really rough though.  Our coach Libby was called away to coach another team and we only had Bob.  We did not play our best and he was really angry with us.  I'm not sure our team ever got over that.  We only won one set that whole day.  We had our last tournament in Parkville and we also only won one set.  Our season came to an abrupt end due to the cancellation of all volleyball because of the Coronavirus.  We were supposed to have regionals and qualifiers-the two biggest tournaments, and our team just started to play better.  We never got to do a team picture or even say good-bye to each other.
So many other things have been canceled because of the Coronavirus-our school choir, Honors choir, the other volleyball league were were going to be in, and now school!  I have been really interested in the talk of the virus and have asked a lot of questions.  So far, I am not scared.  I am excited about school being canceled.  It is hard for Mom to believe that this is how my elementary school years are ending.
Before everything closed, I got to celebrate Taylor's birthday with her!  We were supposed to do it at a tournament, but it was canceled.  We had so much fun though!  We went out to eat at Madison's, I spent the night at her house.  The next day, we painted pottery, ate frozen yogurt, went out to lunch, and got a manicure!  I think I am hooked on them because of the hand massage!  I really enjoyed the day and Taylor is quickly becoming one of my best friends!
Our last day of "outings" were a bridal shower for my mom's cousin's daughter Rachel.  It was awkward for me because I really didn't know anyone.  We then went to Jacob's birthday party and headed home early.  It was weird to not have Nana Arden and Papa Rodney there, and to not hug anyone.  It is hard telling what the near future will bring, but I hope to make the most of it!
