17 1/2 Months...A little bit of everything!

So many different things have happened since I turned 17 months! I went to my baby-sitter's house for a party and got to swim in their pool. It was nice to see my friends again. I will be there full time soon enough when mommy goes back to work. Mommy thought I felt warm before bed, but I woke up with a fever the next day. It lasted for 4 days, and spiked as high as 103 degrees! Then, I had a rash 2 days later. You guessed it-roseola! I got good news when we were at the doctor's though-I won't have to have another shot until I am 4-6 years old! Grandma and grandpa came while I was sick. I tried to be as happy as I could, and they said I was in a really good mood considering. I got another eye tooth on top that week too, and that makes 14 total! Mommy also had some oral surgery done during this time, so I hung out with Daddy and Nana Arden quite a bit while Mommy healed. After I was feeling better, we went to the library for story time, Little Swimmers, and the splash park. It was a lot of fun! I also got my 18 month pictures taken. Here is the link:

Daddy just went back to work, and I really miss him. Mommy told me that she can't keep up with writing down all of my words, but here are some highlights: stars, Todd, "o-meal" (oatmeal), ostrich, "hunnah" (thunder), "a-pane" (airplane), home, "cheer-os" (Cheerios), "a-mals" (animals), "ittle" (little), and hearts. I also know my name and can say it, and I recognize myself in pictures. I still haven't quite figured out who this baby is when I look in the mirror though! Grandma was snuggly when I wasn't feeling great. All better and ready for a walk! I lulled Daddy to sleep! Refreshing run in the rain before bath and bedtime Just look at my little ringlets! 17 Months...Busy girl!

They have kept me really busy around here! I took my first trip to the zoo with Heather, Sean, and Ashley. I got to pet the goats and see some of my favorite animals-monkeys, tigers, and "shish" (translated as "fish")! I also took my first out of state vacation to Beaver Lake, Arkansas. I loved swimming in the lake and riding on the boats. I got to meet a lot of daddy's family there too. I was a stinker though, and didn't want to sleep. I got up at 6:30, then 5:30, then 4:30 and woke the whole house up. I'm catching up on sleep now though. I got my first boo-boo too when I fell down trying to run to daddy. I got to meet a couple of new babies this month too, and had some play dates. We celebrated mommy's birthday too and she got a new phone. That means I get to play with her old one! I now sing and dance along to several kids songs, including The Wheels on the Bus and the Hokey Pokey. I think I said my first appropriate sentence too: daddy monkey hat. (OK, daddy was wearing a monkey mask, but they didn't teach me that word!) Some new words: "its" (hands-when I want to hold hands), hot, stairs, papa, nana, cold, "back" (vacuum), clothes, dock, lake, stickers, tickle, cards, boo-boo, rock, bed, stars. 16 1/2 Months...Summer Fun!

Hi again! I am having a blast and learning lots this summer. I have been to the splash park a few times and love to get wet. I am also working on my eye teeth, and now have 13 teeth in all! I am really enjoying reading too and joined the reading club with the library. All I have to do is read every day (which is easy) and I get a free book at the end of the summer! I learned some new words too: "shish" (fish), car, pool, "mee-gic" (music), corn, "Peek A" (when I want to play peek a boo on the computer), broke, bigger, hungry, a man, "boon" (balloon), "gee go" (thank you), poo poo, potty, nose, shhh (when someone is sleeping), asked for a "huggie", "nack" (snack), dice, ice, "its" (hands, for when I want to hold hands). Mommy and Daddy have to translate sometimes. I met a couple of new babies too in the past couple of weeks! I can also jump off of both feet and land without falling too! I hear they have lots planned for me the next couple of weeks too. Can't wait to tell you about it! I like to get in with my bag of ballsOr, put it on my head!
