15 1/2 Months...Words, words, words!

That is the topic for the past two weeks! I can say so much. Here's a recent run-down...berries (I love strawberries and blueberries!), beans, hat (I gave it to mommy so we could go outside), "co-co" (scarecrow), milk, "box" (blocks), moon, monkey, apple, "bankie" (blanket), Becca, and Harper. I got to hang out with my cousins this weekend and it was a lot of fun. I played shy for the first time ever and buried my head in mommy's shoulder and snuggled for about 20 minutes before warming up to everyone. Once I did though, look out! I loved my cousin Becca. I followed her around everywhere and repeated her name over and over, even in the car ride home and the next day! I had a little cold a couple weeks ago and even threw up from coughing so hard. That wasn't fun. I had a check-up and the doctor said I was doing great. I weighed 24.2 pounds and was 30.3 inches long. I'm losing a lot of my baby fat. We went to the Parents as Teachers carnival a couple of weeks ago too and had a good time. I love the balls and even ran around on the track. Mommy was so proud! It was fun to play with all of the new toys outside and see a lot of kids. I am starting to kick balls on the floor and I try to jump! I don't get off the ground, but it sure is fun to try! Looking through my favorite catalog with mommyDaddy gets to look too! With daddy by "my" tree Pretty girl (mommy's favorite picture) I insisted on wearing both pairs of shoes...this was the best daddy could do! I finally got all the balls and myself up here with daddy! Kisses for daddy for helping me!More bubbles! I also insist on putting all my toys in my chair and then sitting in it. It doesn't always work well, but this time it did! 15 Months...on the 15th!

There is so much I can say now! I think my best surprise was saying "mama" for the first time on Mother's Day. Mommy looks like she is going to cry every time I say it-I hope she's not sad! Other new words that I can say are cookie, baby, duckie, clock, and kitty. I also know what a doggie, cow, kitty, and bird says. I can go up and down stairs now too by scooting, and am trying to lay down when I am sitting by putting my hand behind me. I also like to drink threw my straw sippy cup. I thought it was pretty cool when I got to see horses in my backyard! My favorite thing to do though, is to tear up paper from magazines and try to gather it all back up. Good times! I got to meet mommy's friend's baby girl too-I loved Lauren! Does this diaper make my butt look big? Bird watching with mommy Snoozing hard! What is this, Mommy? Walking by the pool with Nana Carol Petting Maggee Sun worshipers-NOT! When do I get to go in there? Riding around with Papa Ron Do the puppies get to go too? Is that what that says, Grandma? Reading a book with Grandpa I picked out a good card, didn't I? Snuggling with Mommy on Mother's Day I love squirrels!

14 1/2 Months...Walking and talking

I have taken off! I have really learned to walk all over the place this past week, and I am so proud of myself! I can get on and off push toys and ride them too. I really like to get in and out of my wagon and go for rides around the neighborhood. I have also learned some more words recently: up, open, happy (my counselor mommy is so proud!), dog, ball, puppies, bird, and cat. I can also tell you what a dog says. Mommy and daddy love that I can shake my head yes and no when they ask me a question. It makes things a lot easier. I have picked up a bad habit though. I really like to hit when I don't get what I want. I got my first time out at Annie's because of it. :( Auntie Heather came and stayed with us for a few days. I loved having her around! 14 Months...A few steps toward independence!

Would you believe it-I'm somewhat mobile! OK, so I only take a few steps here and there, but I can do it! Daddy even got it on film this past week, but then accidentally erased it! He felt so bad. I got to meet another set of grandparents for the first time right before Easter. Grandpa and Grandma Boyer came from Arizona! We had a lot of fun! We went to Mommy's hometown the Saturday of Easter and got to see more grandparents, but Mommy got really sick on Easter Sunday, so we had to skip the Easter fun at home. I was really good at finding eggs though. Too bad I couldn't run to get them! I am throwing balls a lot better with both hands and can even get up on the couch all by myself now. I can point to all of these body parts-hair, eyes, nose, mouth, tongue, ears, arms, hands, fingers, belly button, legs, feet, and toes! That's a lot, but I know there is more for me to learn! I am now drinking regular milk and can also say a few words like "up", "hi" while waving, and "yeah" when I want something. I can also sign "milk". I say other things too, but no one seems to understand what they mean! I loved Grandma Peggy's glasses! Grandma and Grandpa Boyer got my Rody, my new donkey friend!
